Communication class first up...I went to class thinking I'd never sleep this hour, but it took all of five minutes for my eyes to shut down...I spent the rest of the hour rocking back and forth on my chair trying to chase away the sleep..and the sleep managed to win by 99 - 1 margin....
and then came the biggest blunder of the day...someone in class told Prof. Prasanna that lots of assignments were due, but in fact, not many were due for the day...just that a dumb document called SRS was due...so Prof. ended classes for the day...and we all walked off merrily to take a print out...We came to know later that Prof had consulted the TA's and asked them the reason....and the TA's promptly told them that no assignments were due...this really hurt Prof....
There's an idiot by name S***** in the second year...no, don't worry, his name is not Sucker...he is this childish, boy-from-village type...
He goes to the registrar and gives an eye-witness narration when in fact this guy was sleeping in his room at the time of the incident...and sends us a mail cc'ing to the registrar....
Most of the time, when he sends an email, the whole class is confused as to what he is trying to say....English pundits come up with various interpretations....one can even do a Ph.D on his emails and certainly be assured of a Nobel prize!!

Prabodh's birthday
There's a really big gang of people from Andhra in our batch....and yesterday, the 18th happened to be the birthday of one of my friends, Prabodh....
Prabodh is a strange guy....sleeps in class, suddenly wakes up and answers questions, springs up surprises in tests, but he is a hardworker, mind you....
At around 12 o clock, there was a huge commotion near the college grounds....around 40 guys had gathered there and were whacking Prabodh left and right...i could hear the screams from my room....
I didn't want to miss the fun...so i started running from my room and the momentum carried on until my foot landed firmly on his bums....that really was a sound whack!!!
Our college happens to have a pond within the campus....recycled water from the nearby companies are pumped into it....although it looks clean from the outside, it is frog's heaven literally!!!
As a part of the Birthday rituals here, the b'day baby is immersed into the holy water...(we call it the 'Holy Dip') around two or three times...
After all the beating up, Prabodh was taken to the pond and after sounds of 1, 2, 3....a loud thud and some splash...he landed in the center of the pond..he came back shivering...then a bottle of thums up was opened and sprayed on him...and then the cake came splat on his face....
The custom with telugu guys is that one more lamb has to be thrown into the holy water at a birthday bash...this time, it was the turn of my friend Chandrasekar K....he was enjoying all the fun watching from a corner and suddenly, 3 guys appeared out of nowhere and threw him quite some distance...the whole gang was squealing was laughter and my friend was dripping with smelly water....
Both the guys had a bath and then Prabodh cut the cake....I was supposed to study for an SQL test today...but had a great time partying with these guys upto 2:30...slept for 4 hours and woke up, went straight to the exam hall...couldn't understand what i wrote....compensated for the loss of sleep in class....and then boarded the bus in the afternoon....and now I'm home!!!!

An event free day
I had gone home for the weekend and returned to Bangalore Tuesday morning....only after coming here did I know that college would not function Wednesday....more than that, we came to know that there would be no food available for the whole of Wednesday...but fortunately dinner was provided, we had to survive on bread for most part of the day..
The wireless internet seems to work in a strange way here....I sit in the corridors and the signal strength is excellent, but one wrong step inside my room and it bombs !!!
