Arjun Singh - The Senile Moron

For those who don't know Arjun Singh, he happens to be one among the 543 idiots that were wrongly elected to Parliament by the people of India. Unfortunately, he also happens to be the Union HRD Minister.

He is 93 years old, talks sense sometimes, but rubbish most of the time.....and is a vily old fox!!
Ever since his announcement that the government will go ahead with the proposed 27% reservation for the Other Backward Castes(OBC's) in premier educational institutions, he 's been under the line of fire....Lets analyze some of the reasons for this proposal...

Reason #1: Arjun Singh just happened to refer the Mandal Commission report on reservation of seats/jobs for the socially backward people. This report was presented to the Indian Parliament way back in 1980 and was partially implemented by the then prime Minster V.P. Singh. The hero relies on the facts that were collected in 1980 and wishes to reserve seats for the Other Backward class people in colleges now. He shows a deaf ear to the current sitation prevalent in India.

Reason 2: The Congress wishes to stay in power for the next tenure, so they want to implement this policy as soon as possible. This way, they 'll get votes from the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Class people, who form a majority of the Indian population. This is what we call Vote-Bank politics.

But what the Congress doesn't know is that, a good portion of the OBC's themselves are against reservation.

Reason 3: Brahmins, who were the creators of the so-called caste system then, have to eat dust now. They want the situation to do a full U-turn. The reason they give is that, brahmins hold key positions in important organisations and they have been doing that for a long time now. They need to be replaced at any cost!!

Let me tell you something, I am all for the upliftment of the socially and economically poor. But I am totally opposed to this stupid policy of reservation by the government.

Let's take a situation....an ordinary student and an SC/ST/OBC student...
an ordinary student studies almost 12 hours a day for 2 years to get into an IIT...and if he gets through, he is able to manage the demanding schedule because of this rigorous training...

This many not be true in all cases, but this does happen....
An SC/ST/OBC guy attends classes, but scores just 40% of the marks the other guy has scored. But he gets an admit to the IIT. Now who do you think will manage to complete the course? Who do you think recruiters will prefer? Who do you think will contribute to society?

Premier educational instituitions are the heart of India. Think how you feel when someone partially blocks the blood circulating to your heart and brain.....do you feel like you are alive??? Well that's how we look to other countries.....
The jewels of a nation are its youth....and if you don't allow youth to prosper on merit...well then, just throw the country to the Dogs!!!

Jai Hind!!

An article on Reservation

This article - courtesy 'The Economic Times'

ET has opened a debate on "Is Premji right to go against job quotas in
Wipro?"

As expected most of the posts agree with him...
here is someone who put his pt in a v diff way.. :))

--------------------------------------------------------
I think we should have job reservations in all the fields. I completely
support the PM and all the politicians for promoting this. Let's start
the
reservation with our cricket team. We should have 10 percent reservation
for muslims. 30 percent for OBC, SC/ST like that. Cricket rules should
be
modified accordingly. The boundary circle should be reduced for an SC/ST
player. The four hit by an OBC player should be considered as a six and
a
six hit by a OBC player should be counted as 8 runs. An OBC player
scoring
60 runs should be declared as a century.

We should influence ICC and make rules so that the pace bowlers like
Shoaib Akhtar should not bowl fast balls to our OBC player. Bowlers
should
bowl maximum speed of 80 kilometer per hour to an OBC player. Any
delivery
above this speed should be made illegal.

Also we should have reservation in Olympics. In the 100 meters race, an
OBC player should be given a gold medal if he runs 80 meters.

There can be reservation in Government jobs also. Let's recruit SC/ST
and
OBC pilots for aircrafts which are carrying the ministers and
politicians (that can really help the country.. )

Ensure that only SC/ST and OBC doctors do the operations for the
ministers
and other politicians. (Another way of saving the country..)

Let's be creative and think of ways and means to guide INDIA forward...
Let's show the world that INDIA is a GREAT country. Let's be proud of
being an INDIAN..

May the good breed of politicans like ARJUN SINGH long live...

I'm Back....

All of 83 years.....being elected Chief Minister a record fifth time...
Muthuvel Karunanidhi is the person I'm talking about...

Here's a partial list of his promises to the electorate during the election campaigning...
1. Free Color Television sets for people below the poverty line....
2. Rice @ Rs. 2 per kg
3. Waiver of all the loans held by the farmers at the co-operative society

He's already fulfilled number 2.....but lets see how long he keeps his word. Apart from this, he has promised a cent of land for every landless farmer...Popular leaders have asked him a very simple question...."Where's the land to simply giveaway for free? Has he bought some land in outer space or in the skies?"

How long then will taxpayers' money be given to the masses as freebies? I'm not the only person asking this question...the whole of India asks this...

I have a gut feeling that he 'll give away the TV sets just in time before the next elections...so that people will appreciate the good will that he has and vote for him again...

During J's tenure, Tamil Nadu was voted as the 'Best Protector State' by India Today magazine...Lets' see how Mr. K lives up to the reputation....
